Annual “Season of Hope” Celebration Raises Needed Funds for Trauma Family Support Group

The Trauma Department celebrated another successful “Season of Hope” this December at Cooper, capping off its annual sale of snowflakes to benefit the Trauma Family Support Group for families of patients undergoing treatment for traumatic injuries at Cooper.

The celebration welcomed more than 100 people for the annual lighting ceremony in the DiFlorio Family Healing garden and raised nearly $4,500 in special snowflake dedications.  The snowflakes will remain in the Healing Garden throughout the holidays for people to enjoy.

Many thanks to all of the supporters of this worthwhile project!  All monies raised will be used to enhance family waiting areas in the hospital.

“A Season of Hope” Celebration Benefits Trauma Family Support Group

Celebrating the holidays can be particularly difficult for families with loved ones who have suffered traumatic injuries. The Trauma Family Support Group at Cooper stands ready to help families deal with the shock, depression and grieving that can accompany these life-altering events.

This holiday season, the Foundation is assisting the Trauma Department with their annual “Season of Hope” fundraiser to help support the Group. For a five dollar donation at the Cooper Gift Shop, snowflakes can be purchased to honor or memorialize someone special. The snowflakes are placed in Cooper’s DiFlorio Healing Garden so they can be enjoyed throughout the holiday season.

The dedication for “A Season of Hope” will be held on Wednesday, December 8 at 4:30 PM. Snowflakes will be available, and holiday music and light refreshments served. All are welcome to join the festivities and celebrate “A Season of Hope!”
