Camden County Department of Health and Cooper University Hospital to Provide H1N1 Shots to Children

The Camden County Department of Health and Human Services and Cooper University Hospital will be hosting an H1N1 vaccination clinic for children ages 6 months to 5 years as well as children ages 6 years – 18 years with underlying medical conditions.
The H1N1 vaccine will be the injectable vaccine, which is not thimerosal-free.
Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian to be vaccinated.
Date: Monday, November 16, 2009 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Location: Collingswood Grand Ballroom
(also known as the Scottish Rite)

Target Population:
Individuals not in the above stated priority groups should wait until additional vaccine is received to get their shot. Weekly shipments are expected and clinics will be scheduled as the vaccine becomes available.
The Camden County Department of Health and Human Services continues to encourage residents to follow steps in helping prevent the spread of flu in the workplace, schools and throughout the community. In addition to receiving the vaccines, people should wash their hands frequently, cover coughs and sneezes, and stay home from school or work if sick.
