On Friday, April 29, 2011, the Regional Cleft-Craniofacial Program at Cooper University Hospital, along with the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association sponsored the Cleft-Craniofacial Care: Cradle to College program held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, NJ. Cooper Physicians and guest faculty from across the country provided health care professionals with a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted evaluations and treatments needed by individuals affected with clefts and craniofacial conditions.
Presenters from Cooper included Martha S. Matthews, MD, FACS, Head, Division of Plastic Surgery and Medical Director & Pediatric Plastic Surgeon, William G. Sharrar, MD, FAAP, Emeritus Chief of Pediatrics, Thomas Westover, MD, Peri-natologist, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Guy Lanzi, MDM, Oral Maxillo-facial Surgery Consultant, Marilyn A. Cohen, BA, LSLP, Administrative Director & Patient Care Coordinator of the Regional Cleft-Craniofacial Program and Mary Catherine Sharrar, MSN, RN, Nurse Educator.
Funding for the program was provided through a generous donation from the Cooper Foundation in memory of Frank Verdi, DDS, who was a founding member of the Regional Cleft-Craniofacial Program at Cooper.
