Cooper Celebrates Asthma Month With Health Fair for Camden Schoolkids

In honor of National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month, staff volunteers from all over Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper came together Thursday to put on the sixth annual Asthma Care Health Fair, hosted by Cooper’s Asthma Care Committee.

The event, held at the hospital, brought 80 elementary students from Lanning Square School in Camden to learn about asthma care and prevention, including the dangers of smoking, the importance of regular exercise and healthy eating, and other related topics.

Children were split into teams that circulated to 10 interactive learning stations during the event, and later enjoyed a healthy lunch provided by the hospital.
