The Jacobs Music Company staged a unique fundraiser for Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper with a “Perform-A-Thon” October 5-7 at their new location in Cherry Hill. The goal of the event was to get “70 on 70” – 70 musicians from all walks of life to perform throughout the weekend in an oversize tent on Route 70. Instead, more than 80 performers – from children like 7-year-old Hallie King, who raised $200 in pledges from her family and friends to play her violin, all the way to Dr. Rhonda Schnur, Division Head of the Department of Genetics at Cooper – shared their talents at the event. Local dignitaries participated in a ribbon-cutting, players from the Philadelphia Soul visited with young fans, and the event raised more than $5,000 for Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper.
