This October, MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper marked the anniversary of the opening of the new cancer center and partnership with MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. On Tuesday, November 4, 2014, physicians, nurses, staff, executive leadership and patients gathered in the lobby of the cancer center in Camden to recognize the occasion and celebrate the many achievements of the past year.
In addition to opening the new cancer center, the cancer center has restructured its clinical and administrative operations; expanded its cancer care and support services; added new diagnostic and treatment technologies; welcomed new physicians, nurses, and supportive care and administrative staff; enhanced its cancer clinical trials; increased new patient volumes by 20 percent; and built important relationships with their colleagues at MD Anderson in Houston.
