On April 19, more than 100 kindergarteners from the KIPP Cooper Norcross Academy visited Cooper to learn what it’s like to visit the hospital.
The students received a special teddy bear and rotated through five different stations where Cooper clinicians “diagnosed and treated” the bear’s ailment using real tools and equipment. The Teddy Goes to Cooper program was developed to help alleviate young children’s fears of visiting the hospital or doctor and common medical procedures.
