HO! HO! HO! Santa Claus Has a New Sleigh – Makes Pre-Holiday Visit to Cooper

While the reindeer rest up for their big night on Christmas Eve, the flight crew of Cooper 1, Cooper University Health Care’s air medical transport helicopter, gave Santa a lift as he made a pre-Christmas visit to the hospital.  For the past five years, Santa has completed a pre-holiday test run to visit children hospitalized at Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper.

“I heard that the boys and girls have been especially nice this year, so I thought they would enjoy an early visit,” said Santa before returning to the North Pole. “I also want to commend Cooper’s staff for their hard work and dedication this year in providing the highest quality, compassionate care to all of their patients.”

Cooper 1 provides critical care air medical transportation from locations throughout the seven counties of southern New Jersey to Cooper University Hospital. Critically injured patients receive rapid transport from emergency scenes to Cooper’s Level 1 Trauma Center, the only state-designated Level 1 trauma in South Jersey. Additionally, the helicopter provides rapid transfer for patients at other hospitals in the region who are critically ill or injured and need the advanced medical and/or surgical care only available at Cooper.
