Teddy Goes to Cooper

04teddycooperOn April 19, more than 100 kindergarteners from the KIPP Cooper Norcross Academy visited Cooper to learn what it’s like to visit the hospital.

The students received a special teddy bear and rotated through five different stations where Cooper clinicians “diagnosed and treated” the bear’s ailment using real tools and equipment. The Teddy Goes to Cooper program was developed to help alleviate young children’s fears of visiting the hospital or doctor and common medical procedures. Read more.

Cooper Names Trauma Step-Down Nurse as DAISY Award Winner

daisy2qCooper University Health Care has named Kristina Kelly, RN, of Riverside, NJ, as the most recent DAISY Award winner.

The DAISY Award, established by The DAISY Foundation, is an international program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses every day. It is presented in collaboration with the American Organization of Nurse Executives. Each quarter, Cooper will honor a nurse with The DAISY Award. Read more.
