Arlene’s Story: A Difficult Tumor Leads to CyberKnife Treatment

Posted By Cooper University Hospital On @ In Videos | 3 Comments

Arlene had a pain in her chest and, thinking it was a heart attack, immediately went to see her doctor. The results of her cardiac tests were normal, but the results of a CAT scan showed something different. There was a tumor on her sternum – the breast cancer she had thought was beaten 16 years before, was back.

As the tumor’s location could potentially make treatment difficult, her team at Cooper recommended CyberKnife treatment. Now, less than a year after her diagnosis, and undergoing chemotherapy and CyberKnife, she was able to travel again to Greece this summer and get back to her life.

This is her story.
