Safely Manage Osteoporosis

For women with low bone density, join the Osteoporosis-Strengthen the Bone program for discussions on osteoporosis care, followed by trainer-led workouts. Safely manage your osteoporosis!

Each week a different topic on osteoporosis will be presented by one of our doctors, a dietitian, or a physical therapist. There will also be time for participants to ask questions. The discussions will be followed by an hour work out with a trainer which focuses on strength training, balance, and flexibility with the goal of reducing fracture risk. Workouts include calisthenics, bands, free weights, and stability ball work. Safety and efficacy in exercise is taught so that after this course a participant can pursue any exercise she enjoys from ballet to weight lifting in an informed way.
