Fourth Annual Camden Scholars’ Forum Poster Contest

Save the Date! Cooper University Health Care and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) present the Fourth Annual Camden Scholars’ Forum Poster Contest on April 17, 2017.

The program recognizes outstanding achievement in the fields of research and performance improvement. All eligible posters will be judged by Cooper and CMSRU faculty and scored for the abstract, poster design, title clarity and completeness, methods, results and discussion/conclusions. Contest winners will give a short oral presentation about his/her project during the forum on April 28, 2017.

Applications are available on the Cooper intranet by clicking here.

Performance Improvement projects include Quality Improvement, Quality Assurance, and Patient Safety projects. The intent of these projects should be aimed at improving local systems of care and not generalized results.

If you plan to submit a PI project and need the Project Description Form, please contact either:

The form needs to be submitted to them by Monday, February 6, 2017, so they can determine if your project needs IRB review. If the project is determined to be research, an electronic application must be submitted by February 10, 2017, to the IRB for review and approval.

Important Dates and Deadlines to Keep in Mind

  • Cooper IRB approval deadline is Thursday, February 23, 2017.
  • Contestant Applications deadline is Friday, February 24, 2017.
  • Final Biostatistics meeting (if necessary) is Friday, March 17, 2017.
  • Contestant Abstracts deadline is Friday, March 24, 2017.
  • Camden Scholar’s Forum Poster Contest will begin Monday, April 17, 2017.
  • Winner’s Forum will be Friday, April 28, 2017.

CMSRU students who conducted projects this past summer that have already been reviewed and approved by the IRB do not need another IRB approval. Just complete the application and submit the abstract.
