National Professional Social Work Month: Recognizing Social Workers

The theme this year for National Professional Social Work Month is “Social Workers: Leaders. Advocates. Champions.” It is an opportunity for social workers across the country to turn the spotlight on the profession and highlight the important contributions they make to society. They support and advise patients, families, and caregivers, and help them cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses. They also assist in planning for post-hospital needs.

With amazing tenacity and talent, social workers confront some of the most challenging issues facing individuals, families, communities, and society, and create hope and opportunity for people in need.

During National Social Work Month in March, join us in recognizing and celebrating our nation’s more than 650,000 social workers for their contributions!
