Your Cell Phone Number Can Save Your Life

Ensuring that staff and patients are safe in a life-threatening emergency is a priority for Cooper.

Should an emergency occur, Cooper will activate a system called FastCommand that uses cell phone numbers pulled from Lawson to communicate potentially life-saving information to staff.

For FastCommand to work as intended, it’s vital that Cooper has access to both primary and alternate means to communicate with staff – in fact, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires that Cooper have this information.

If you haven’t entered your cell phone number in Lawson, please click here and go to Bookmarks/Employee Self Service/Personal Information/Contact Numbers. If your cell phone number is already in Lawson, it’s a good idea to log on and confirm that the information is correct.

Please be assured that Cooper will only use your cell phone number in case of an emergency, and we will not share this number with anyone.

Thank you for doing your part to keep Cooper safe.
