Time to Check Your Bottom Line: Free Colorectal Cancer Screenings Available

As part of MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper’s GO BLUE initiative to promote colorectal cancer screening and prevention, we challenge you to check your bottom line!

Throughout March 2019, MD Anderson at Cooper is offering free fecal immunochemical test (FIT) kits to employees and patients age 50 or older who have not had a colonoscopy in the last five years or another form of colorectal cancer screening within the last year.

This non-invasive screening method tests for hidden blood in the stool, which can be an early sign of colorectal cancer. FIT kits are easy to use, and can be done at home and mailed back to Cooper. The kits are free and insurance is not required.

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States – more than 106,000 people are diagnosed each year. Screening is the best way to prevent colorectal cancer. It can help find precancerous changes (colon polyps) and detect colorectal cancer at an early stage when treatment is most likely to be successful.

Visit any of the locations below to pick up a FIT kit. You will be contacted with your results within a week of sending back your kit.
