Recognition for Cooper’s Certified Nursing Assistants

In recognition of National Nursing Assistants Week from June 13 through June 20, 2019, Cooper University Health Care honors the dedication and achievements of our certified nursing assistants.

Certified nursing assistants (CNAs) work under the supervision of nurses to deliver high-quality care to patients. In addition to providing basic care to patients, they assist with daily activities that patients may have trouble with on their own, such as bathing, dressing, and eating. CNAs may also be responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs, setting up medical equipment, and assisting with some medical procedures, such as drawing blood. Working closely with patients also allows CNAs to observe changes in a patient’s physical condition and the subtleties of their emotional state, which can have a considerable impact on the patient’s recovery.

Thank you to Cooper’s CNAs for providing high-quality, compassionate care to our patients.
