Nominate Now: 2019 Cooper Quality and Patient Safety Awards

At Cooper University Health Care, we strive to provide the highest quality care to our patients. During National Healthcare Quality Week, October 20–26, 2019, we recognize our colleagues who are doing great work to improve the quality and safety of patient care.

Nominate Your Colleagues Today

Any Cooper employee may nominate internal departments or teams that have completed a project that has exhibited leadership, creativity, and innovation to improve quality care, clinical outcomes, and patient safety. To be eligible, the project must have been team-based and the work must have been completed between the dates of January 1, 2018, and August 31, 2019.

The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, October 15, 2019.

A multidisciplinary committee of Cooper employees will review the applications and select the winners using a standard scoring methodology. The winners will be announced during National Healthcare Quality Week and will be celebrated at a luncheon ceremony hosted by Cooper’s Co-Presidents/CEOs, Anthony J. Mazzarelli, MD, and Kevin M. O’Dowd, JD.

Award criteria and categories:
In addition to leadership, creativity, and innovation, winning projects will also be evaluated on the team’s use of process improvement tools (Lean Six Sigma, WorkOut, FMEA, etc.) that have demonstrated measurable and sustainable results for Cooper.

Quality and Patient Safety Award
Recognizes the team whose project has achieved statistically significant improved outcomes for patients.

Operational Award 
Recognizes the team whose project has achieved process enhancements or improved delivery of services that make a positive impact on the care of patients.
