Quality and Patient Safety Awards-Recognition Luncheon

On Friday, November 15, 2019, Cooper University Health Care recognized the winners of this year’s Quality and Patient Safety Awards with a luncheon in their honor.

The recipients of these awards are recognized for their innovative efforts toward improving care and creating a safe environment for patients and staff.

The Quality and Patient Safety Award was presented to the Central Line Associated Bloodstream Infection (CLABSI) ICU Workgroup for their comprehensive, evidence-based performance improvement plan for the Critical Care unit, which has demonstrated a significant reduction in central line associated blood stream infections.

The Quality and Patient Safety Operational Award was presented to the Triage Severity Category (ESI) 2 Door to Doctor Team for their design of a physical (and concordant electronic) solution to triage patients in a more efficient manner.
