Cooper Joins NJ Sugarfreed

Did you know sugary drinks are the largest source of added sugars in the American diet? Sugar is linked to numerous negative health outcomes, including heart disease, diabetes, obesity, cancer, and tooth decay. By choosing water instead of sodas, juices, and other sugary drinks, you can make a positive impact on your health.

Cooper University Health Care is committed to helping you make smarter, healthier choices in your day-to-day life. By joining NJ Sugarfreed, an initiative dedicated to improving the health of New Jersey residents, Cooper has made a pledge to support our employees in making healthier beverage choices by reducing the amount of sugary drinks available on our campus. You may have already noticed water replacing sugary drinks at Cooper meetings and events, as well as a decrease in sodas in our vending machines.

By offering these simple changes, we hope to help you achieve your health goals and make Cooper an even healthier place to work.
