Cooper Celebrates World Breastfeeding Week

World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated annually from August 1 through August 7. This year, Cooper is spotlighting the global efforts of breastfeeding mothers.

During this week, look to social media to view a “Cooper Culture” campaign for World Breastfeeding Week that highlights some of our very own Cooper employees and their breastfeeding experiences.

Signage will be located throughout Labor and Delivery, the Maternal Fetal Child Unit, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatrics, the Mother Infant Unit, the Jaffe Family Women’s Care Center, and the outpatient offices for patients to view global breastfeeding trends. The signage will include information on breastfeeding as a key to sustainable development, emerging trends in global health, and positive effects in nutrition.

On Wednesday, August 5, 2020, please join us – while physical distancing – outside the Cooper Court Cafeteria between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to try your luck at breastfeeding trivia and win some prizes!

Cooper is excited to participate in this global health initiative promoting and recognizing breastfeeding as a foundation for lifelong health.
