New Compliance Hotline

As of Saturday, May 1, 2021, Cooper has contracted with a new vendor – ComplianceLine – and has a new compliance hotline: 1.833.435.1006.

All Cooper team members will receive a sticker with the new hotline number for your badge hangtag. A new compliance website is under development and we will let you know when it is available on the Pulse under Quality and Safety.

Why did Cooper change the compliance phone number and website?

The previous third-party vendor hosting Cooper’s hotline and website no longer supports the software used by Cooper. ComplianceLine representatives will answer the compliance hotline and manage the website to ensure anonymity and confidentiality and will provide reports to the Cooper Compliance Department.

Will I still be able to report 24 hours a day/365 days a year?

Yes, a ComplianceLine representative will answer your call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including holidays. You will also be able to submit a report online via the compliance website when it is completed.

May I remain anonymous?

All compliance reports are confidential and individuals may choose to remain anonymous if they prefer.

Why would I submit a compliance hotline report?

A compliance report is a report of an actual or potential violation of Cooper’s Code of Ethical Conduct, policies, laws, and regulations relating to federal or state health care programs, including, but not limited to, the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Stark Law, and criminal, civil, or administrative laws.

An interdisciplinary Hotline Committee investigates and reviews every hotline report each month. The goal of the hotline is to ensure the time identification and resolution of all issues that may adversely affect Cooper team members, patients, or the organization.

I reported a concern to the compliance hotline before May 1 – will it still be investigated?

All reports will be investigated, including those submitted to the prior vendor. However, depending on how you reported your concern, you may need to take action:

  • If you submitted a report and provided your name and contact information, you do not need to take any action.
  • If you filed a report anonymously with the prior vendor, the follow-up report number you received from the prior vendor is no longer active. Please place an anonymous call to the new hotline number (1.833.435.1006) and briefly outline the details of the original report. You will be provided with a new anonymous follow-up process. You may also submit this information via the new compliance website once it is active. We apologize for this inconvenience.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Compliance Department or Leapolda Figueroa, Compliance Specialist, at Figueroa-Leapolda@Cooperhealth.edu.
