The Nurse manager of Radiation Oncology is responsible and accountable for the direction, implementation, and evaluation of the staff and care delivery to ensure quality of patient care within the radiation oncology department. This individual will work with other department managers as a partner, and with the multi-disciplinary team to plan, direct, monitor and evaluate care, ensuring staff are practicing at evidenced based standards, meeting departmental objectives, patient care needs, and efficient operations. In addition, this role will assist to problem solve and serve as a mediator as needed for positive change and foster positive intra- and interdepartmental relationships.
Qualified applicants should have graduated from an NLN accredited school of nursing and are required to have their Bachelor in Nursing. Three to five years of nursing experience with two to three years in oncology is also required. One year of demonstrated leadership ability is preferred.
