Cooper University Health Care is the leading academic health system in South Jersey. In addition to having South Jersey’s only Level I Trauma Center at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, we also have the only Level II Pediatric Trauma Center in the Delaware Valley: Children’s Regional Hospital.

Our Cooper Team is growing, and we’re looking for the best candidates to work with our youngest patients and their families as a full-time Child Life Specialist. In this role, you will be expected to plan and implement supportive, therapeutic, educational and recreational programs for pediatric patients. You will provide preparation and procedural support as well as facilitate and encourage positive coping mechanisms in children and their families.

This role requires a compassionate individual who can provide patients with opportunities for growth and development through play, learning and self-expression, and serve as a resource for other hospital staff in areas of child development, family-centered care, age appropriate preparation and coping strategies, as well as end-of-life issues.
