Our board-certified radiation oncologists are experts in the field of fighting cancer and, together with the Radiation Oncology team, work with each patient to develop a comprehensive treatment program.
Our Cooper Team is growing, and we’re ready for you to join us as a Nurse Manager of Radiation Oncology. You’ll assume responsibility and accountability for the direction, implementation, and evaluation of the staff and care delivery to ensure quality of patient care within the radiation oncology department at the direction of the Director of Radiation Oncology and in his/her absence. This staff includes radiation oncology nurses, medical assistants, secretaries, registrars, and others as assigned.
In this role, you’ll partner with other department managers and the multi-disciplinary team to plan, direct, monitor, and evaluate care, ensuring staff are practicing at evidenced-based standards, meeting departmental objectives, patient care needs, and efficient operations. In addition, you will assist to problem solve and serve as a mediator as needed for positive change, fostering positive intra and interdepartmental relationships.
This role is broad in scope and requires the ability to work independently and apply a high degree of judgment. Qualified candidates will be graduates from an NLN accredited school of nursing. A Bachelor’s in Nursing is required, as well as three to five years of nursing experience with two to three years in oncology. One year of demonstrated leadership ability is preferred.
