Join our Cooper Team today! We have an opportunity available now for a full time Medical Technologist during our night shift. This is an exciting generalist opportunity, focused on Hematology, in support of MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.

This position is eligible for a $2,000 bonus, paid out 1/3 after 90 days, 1/3 after six months, and 1/3 after one year. You must stay in your position for one year or bonus will have to be repaid.

This is a third shift position responsible for performing routine and STAT diagnostic laboratory testing, both automated and manual, in a timely manner. You will conduct testing in compliance with established policies and procedures, adhering to quality control and safety requirements.

It is preferred that qualified candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and completion of an accredited medical technology program. Alternatively, qualifications for high complexity testing as evaluated against Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments ’88 (Code of Federal Regulations, Title 42, Part 493.1489). One year clinical laboratory experience is also preferred (student experience is acceptable). Additionally, a certification from the ASCP (American Society of Clinical Pathologists) Registry is preferred.
