Our Cooper Team is growing! We’re currently hiring for a per-diem registered nurse with our psychiatry unit for night shifts. The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Cooper offers inpatient treatment, outpatient care, crisis evaluation, and agency consultation. Our staff is committed to providing comprehensive psychiatric and psychological care to people of all ages throughout southern New Jersey. Our team consists of board certified psychiatrists, psychiatry residents, psychologists, psychotherapists, and social workers.

As part of our team, you will assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated timeframe. This includes evaluating patients, implementing and documenting nursing care, assisting physicians during examinations and procedures, performing various patient tests, and administering medications utilizing the nursing process. In this role, you will promote patients’ independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.

Qualified candidates are required to be graduates of a NLN accredited School of Nursing and have a current NJ-RN License. Specific shift requirements apply.
