Providing <strong>5:1 Feedback<\/strong> when you witness staff and learners exhibiting good hand hygiene practices\u2026<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gelling in and out of rooms.<\/li>\n<li>Using hand gel for 15 seconds, rubbing all surfaces of the hands (WHO sequence)<\/li>\n<li>Respecting the 5 moments of hand hygiene.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also remember\u2026<strong>\u201dWhat we permit, we promote.\u201d <\/strong>Missing a hand hygiene opportunity is a lapse. Staff and learners don\u2019t come to work intending to harm patients. They often miss hand hygiene opportunities because they are rushed, distracted, or stressed.
