Does one side of the face droop or is it numb? Ask the person to smile. Is the person&#8217;s smile uneven?<\/li>\n<li><strong>A: ARM Weakness<\/strong>. Is one arm weak or numb? Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?<\/li>\n<li><strong>S: SPEECH Difficulty<\/strong>. Is speech slurred? Is the person unable to speak or hard to understand? Ask the person to repeat a simple sentence, like &#8220;the sky is blue.&#8221; Is the sentence repeated correctly?<\/li>\n<li><strong>T: TIME to Call 9-1-1<\/strong>. If someone shows any of these symptoms, even if the symptoms go away, call 9-1-1 and get the person to the hospital immediately. Check the time so you&#8217;ll know when the first symptoms appeared.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>New Technologies for Treating Brain Aneurysms<\/h2>\n<p>Earlier this year, clinicians at Cooper continued to pioneer new treatment methods for treating patients with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooperhealth.org\/services\/cerebral-aneurysm-brain-aneurysm\">aneurysms<\/a>. Commonly called a subarachnoid hemorrhage, this is a life-threatening type of stroke.\u00a0When she arrived at Cooper, Judith was treated by Cooper\u2019s stroke team, led by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cooperhealth.org\/doctors\/tudor-jovin-md\">Tudor G.
