Sharrar, M.D., Chief of Cooper\u2019s Department of Pediatrics. \u201cWe look forward to bringing our experience and insight to the association and joining in promoting stronger advocacy for children.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Children\u2019s Regional Hospital at Cooper was admitted to NACHRI as a full-voting institutional member, joining the foremost children\u2019s hospitals in the nation. The Children\u2019s Regional Hospital at Cooper provides a wide range of pediatric services for infants, children and adolescents from throughout the Delaware Valley. The State Department of Health has recognized The Children\u2019s Regional Hospital at Cooper for their important accomplishments and contributions in the care and treatment of the region\u2019s most critically ill and seriously injured children, with a designation as an acute-care children\u2019s hospital. The Children\u2019s Regional Hospital is the only state-designated children\u2019s hospital in South Jersey and now is the only South Jersey acute-care hospital with NACHRI membership.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause of our singular focus on children, the physicians and medical staff at The Children\u2019s Regional Hospital at Cooper are able to identify emerging trends and problems associated with children\u2019s health, and to develop treatment programs utilizing the latest research and medical protocols,\u201d Dr. Sharrar said.<\/p>\n<p>NACHRI is a not-for-profit membership association of children\u2019s hospitals, large pediatric units of medical centers and related organizations. It maintains extensive data on all aspects of children\u2019s health. Its primary roles are advocacy for children and children\u2019s hospitals, public policy analysis, education for its members and the public, and research.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe welcome The Children\u2019s Regional Hospital at Cooper to the family of care-givers devoted to improving the health of children, and we look forward to their active involvement,\u201d said NACHRI President and CEO Lawrence A.
