Lombardi, M.D., Head of the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Cooper University Hospital. \u201cFor instance, patients with trouble walking can come in and have their procedure done, and then walk out of the hospital feeling better instantly that same day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Lombardi is a pioneer in the treatment of thoracic aortic dissection with endovascular grafts and stents and serves as Global Principal Investigator for the STABLE trial, investigating the use of endovascular therapy to treat complicated Type B Thoracic Aortic Dissection. He and Cooper\u2019s multidisciplinary vascular services team provide:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR)<\/li>\n<li>Thoracic Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (TEVAR)<\/li>\n<li>Lower Extremity Angioplasty<\/li>\n<li>Carotid Artery Angioplasty and Stenting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Most recently, Dr. Lombardi was a vascular surgeon on the staff of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he was the Director of the Jefferson Aortic Center.<\/p>\n<p>In the near future, Cooper\u2019s Division of Vascular Surgery will offer new treatments for aneurysms in the chest and abdomen. \u201cWe\u2019ll be bringing in clinical trials that will give patients immediate access to technology that wouldn\u2019t otherwise be available to them for the next five to seven years,\u201d Dr. Lombardi said. \u201cThis, combined with Cooper\u2019s multi-specialty approach to safe and effective treatment, will offer South Jersey residents the highest level of care available for the treatment of aortic disease.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cooper\u2019s vascular surgeons have extensive experience in their field, providing comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for all blood vessel disorders.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Lombardi is seeing patients in Voorhees, Washington Township and Camden.
