{"id":177,"date":"2019-05-06T14:43:10","date_gmt":"2019-05-06T14:43:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/lifeatthecoop\/?p=177"},"modified":"2019-05-06T14:43:10","modified_gmt":"2019-05-06T14:43:10","slug":"in-the-community-cooper-ob-gyn-residency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/lifeatthecoop\/2019\/05\/06\/in-the-community-cooper-ob-gyn-residency\/","title":{"rendered":"In the Community: Cooper OB-GYN Residency"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of an initiative created by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acog.org\/About-ACOG\/ACOG-Districts\/District-III?IsMobileSet=false\">ACOG District III<\/a>, Cooper\u2019s OB-GYN Residency will join other local programs in the tri-state area to support local domestic violence shelters between now and Mother&#8217;s Day on Sunday, May 12th, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Our OB-GYN Residency will be supporting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centerffs.org\/our-services\/safe-supportive-housing\/mother-child\">Mother Child Shelter in Woodbury, NJ<\/a>. Mother Child provides temporary housing to mothers parenting 1-3 children\u00a0and women who are currently pregnant. Many of\u00a0Cooper patients are referred to Mother Child\u00a0for emergency shelter.\u00a0Additionally,\u00a0Mother Child\u00a0offers its residents counseling, educational classes focused on parenting, anger management, and substance abuse.<\/p>\n<p>If you are a Cooper OB-GYN Resident and interested in participating, please contact Tieg Beazer or Amanda Malik as soon as possible.
