We have lived through an historic week of weather, with an earthquake and a ferocious hurricane within four days of each other. A sincere thank you to each member of our Cooper team for your work during trying times like these. We can always count on our Cooper employees to respond professionally and compassionately to ensure the safety of our patients, their families and each other.
We are gratified by your teamwork, which provided quality care for 300 patients through the hurricane this weekend. These challenges, particularly Saturday and Sunday, were met with an exemplary response from physicians, nurses, other caregivers, the plant operations team, Food and Nutrition staff, EVS and particularly our Incident Management Team, who kept us apprised of the storm’s progress. There was no disruption of service and the few minor weather-related incidents were handled quickly and safely.
In addition, kudos to our Emergency Medicine residents and the EMS educator who volunteered their time to provide invaluable care to evacuees at the hurricane shelter at Rowan University.
This was a great job by all and we are very proud of the Cooper response.
Sincerely,
