DAISY Award winner Susan Deeney, RN (center), is congratulated by Gina Marone, RN, Vice President of Outpatient Clinical Operations for MD Anderson Cooper (left), and Joan Molnar, Manager, Clinical Practice Services.
Cooper University Health Care recently recognized Susan Deeney, BSN, RN, OCN, of Cinnaminson, NJ, with the DAISY Award for providing exceptional nursing care. Susan works as an oncology nurse at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper’s Voorhees office.
The DAISY Award, established by The DAISY Foundation, is an international program that celebrates the extraordinary care given by nurses every day. It is presented in collaboration with the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
Each winner receives a DAISY Award recipient pin, a Healer’s Touch hand-carved statue, an award certificate, and a gift certificate to Cinnabon®. In addition, the selected nurse’s unit receives a banner to post for the quarter.
Anyone—patients, families, and professional colleagues—may nominate a Cooper nurse for The DAISY Award. The DAISY nomination materials are located on nursing units and other public locations throughout the Cooper Camden campus and outpatient offices, as well as online through the Cooper website.
