We’re so excited to share these photos of Elizabeth Pluck, who was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma in June 2016. Last week, 19-year-old Elizabeth successfully completed her treatment and her scans are clear. Elizabeth rang the bell on P5 with her mother by her side.
Ewing’s sarcoma is a cancer that occurs primarily in the bone or soft tissue. About 225 children and adolescents are diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma in the U.S. each year. It is the second most common malignant bone tumor in children and adolescents. Our MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper team treats patients with Ewing’s sarcoma in our Orthopaedic Oncology Center.
