Cooper Experts Discuss Overcoming Fear and Anxiety During the Pandemic

For the past several years, Cooper University Health Care and MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper have partnered with Trinity Presbyterian Church in Cherry Hill to present a health lecture to congregants during the month of October. Although the pandemic prohibited us from having an in-person seminar this year, we were able to use online technology to continue this important annual program.

Last week, Philip J. Fizur, PsyD, clinical health psychologist, and Kennedy Wong, MA, behavioral medicine fellow, presented a program on coping with fear and anxiety, especially during the pandemic. The interview was conducted by retired NBC 10 news anchor Terry Ruggles, a member of the congregation and the event organizer.

Even though in-person educational events are paused right now, Cooper continues to offer a variety of free online health lectures and classes. Check out and register for upcoming programs here.
