Cooper University Health Care today announced that it has been recognized by Healthgrades as a 2022 Patient Safety Excellence Award™ recipient. This distinction places Cooper among the top 5% of all short-term acute care hospitals as evaluated by Healthgrades, the leading marketplace connecting patients and providers. Cooper has received the Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award for four consecutive years (2019-2022) and is the only hospital in South Jersey to achieve the award in 2022.
“Everyone at Cooper is enormously proud that we were the only hospital in South Jersey to receive the 2022 Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award, ensuring that Cooper stands out among its peers for its commitment to excellence and safety,” George E. Norcross III, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Cooper Health System, Cooper University Hospital, and MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper said today. “This recognition is a tribute to the incredible work everyone at Cooper does to put patient safety first as we provide care that is among the best in the greater Philadelphia region.”
“Our team is laser-focused on providing the safest level of care, and this achievement – for four straight years – is a reflection of their skill, compassion, and dedication to patient care,” said Anthony J. Mazzarelli, MD, JD, MBE, co-CEO of Cooper.
