Congratulations to the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University Class of 2020!

Today, Thursday, May 14, 2020, Cooper Medical School of Rowan University celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2020.  We congratulate the 79 graduates who earned medical degrees from CMSRU, our the fifth and largest graduating class since CMSRU opened in 2013. To date, 326 students have graduated from the school.

During their four years at CMSRU, the Class of 2020 performed many impressive community-based projects that directly supported residents of Camden. When the COVID-19 pandemic prevented them from working in the clinical environment, dozens of CMSRU students created virtual volunteer projects to assist frontline medical workers. They arranged blood drives, designed 3D-printed facemasks, and created Criticall, a program that allows medical students to virtually round with the critical care team and communicate with patients’ families. Their hard work and innovation provided much-needed support during a very challenging time.

Over the next few weeks, these new medical doctors will move on to the next phase of their medical education as first year residency programs across the country. As CMSRU’s academic affiliate, our Cooper Team has had the privilege of participating in the education of this next generation of physicians. We extend our best wishes to the Class of 2020 and offer a warm welcome to the newly graduated physicians who will be embarking on their residency training right here at Cooper University Health Care.

Please join us in celebrating their incredible accomplishments, and take the time to watch today’s commencement ceremony here.
