Cooper Team Members Honored as 2023 Healthcare Heroes

Cooper University Health Care and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University were well represented at NJBIZ magazine’s 2023 Healthcare Heroes awards held June 27 in Somerset, NJ.

Among the honorees were Dr. Rachel Haroz and Iris Jones from Cooper’s Center for Healing in the category of Education Hero/Organization for their work in providing trauma informed care training to the Emergency Department team members.  Stephanie Prendergast, associate clinical director in the Emergency Department, was one of the Nurse of the Year honorees.

Finally, Dr. Annette Reboli, dean of CMSRU, was recognized in the Education Hero/Individual category.

According to NJ BIZ, the Healthcare Heroes program was created to recognize excellence, promote innovation, and honor the efforts of individuals and organizations making a significant impact on the quality of health care in New Jersey.
