Last spring Camden officials unveiled the newly renovated Cooper Commons Park in the historic neighborhood adjacent to Cooper University Hospital. Cooper, who maintains the park, has partnered with Greater Camden Partnership, Symphony in C, Rowan University and Campbell’s Soup Co. to organize the First Annual Cooper Commons Holiday Festival on Friday, December 11, 2009 from 4:30 -5:30 p.m.
Neighborhood residents and employees are invited to join close to 100 carolers from the Rowan University Concert Choir, Settlement Music School’s Gleeksman-Kohn Children’s Choir and other community groups for twilight caroling in the park!
The event will include refreshments, holiday giveaways and an exciting visit from Santa! Carolers will then stroll through the neighborhood to 426 Broadway for a special one-night art gallery and to visit local vendors along the Broadway business corridor.
