NJBIZ editors spoke with insiders in the medical, insurance, pharmaceutical, biotech and policy field to develop a list of the 50 most powerful people in health care in New Jersey. Among the list are George E. Norcross, III, Chairman of the Board at Cooper, John P. Sheridan Jr., President and CEO, and Jeffrey Brenner, M.D., Family Medicine physician at Cooper.
Mr. Norcross joined the Cooper board in 1990, helping to lead the hospital’s turnaround from a financially troubled institution to one of the major teaching hospitals in the region.
Mr. Sheridan’s 40-year career has included positions in law, government and health care. He was named President and CEO of Cooper in 2007, and recently served on Governor’s Christies Healthcare Transition Team.
Dr. Brenner spearheaded the efforts of the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers studying super-users of emergency departments and implementing new systems to relieve the financial stresses on the health systems.
The complete list can be found in the March 31st issue of NJBIZ.
