Short-Term Traffic Flow and Construction Near Kelemen Circle

UPDATE: Due to weather, construction will begin on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, and continue through Friday, June 22, 2018 near the Kelemen Circle on the health sciences campus of Cooper University Health Care in Camden. As a result, only Emergency Department patients and Cooper employee shuttles will be able to access Kelemen Circle Monday through Friday 6:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The area will be closed to all other vehicle traffic.

Additionally, from June 11, 2018, through Friday, June 22, 2018, the following traffic pattern changes (see diagrams below) will be in effect Monday through Friday, from 6:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.:

  • Benson Street traffic will be one-way moving from Haddon Avenue to Broadway.
  • All traffic travelling on S. 7th Street to Benson Street will be required to turn left toward Broadway.
  • All traffic travelling on S. 6th Street to Benson Street will be required to turn left toward Broadway.
  • All vehicles leaving the CCIA parking lot will have to turn right toward Broadway.

Normal traffic patterns will return after 4:30 p.m.

Camden County Police Department will direct traffic on Benson Street. Camden County Sheriff’s Officers and Cooper Security Officers will be at the Kelemen Circle to limit traffic to patients and Cooper Shuttles.
