Mr. Norcross kicked-off the fundraising effort with a personal donation of $5,000. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-10102\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/news\/files\/2019\/09\/Hurricane-Relief-Fund-graphic-1024x424.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/news\/files\/2019\/09\/Hurricane-Relief-Fund-graphic-1024x424.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/news\/files\/2019\/09\/Hurricane-Relief-Fund-graphic-300x124.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/news\/files\/2019\/09\/Hurricane-Relief-Fund-graphic-768x318.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.cooperhealth.org\/news\/files\/2019\/09\/Hurricane-Relief-Fund-graphic.jpg 1196w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMore than a month after the hurricane leveled entire communities there, the need for humanitarian help is still urgently needed,\u201d said Mr. Norcross.\u00a0\u201cI want to acknowledge Cooper\u2019s board members, physicians, employees, and members of the community who generously gave to Cooper\u2019s Bahamian Relief Fund.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>All monies raised will go directly to organizations working for recovery and disaster relief in the Bahamas, including Team Rubicon ($15,000), a veteran-led organization that provides disaster relief; World Central Kitchen ($7,500), which serves meals to people hit by disasters; and Mercy Corps ($7,500), a global humanitarian organization currently providing recovery relief in the Bahamas.<\/p>\n<p>In the past few years, Cooper employees have contributed more than $45,000 for hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico and Houston following Hurricane Maria and Hurricane Harvey.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About The Cooper Foundation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Cooper Foundation\u00a0serves as the philanthropic, community outreach and community development arm of Cooper University Health Care, one of the largest health systems in southern New Jersey with over 100 outpatient offices and its flagship, Cooper University Hospital located in Camden, NJ.<\/p>\n<p>###<\/p>\n<p>Wendy A.
