Our team includes more than 630 physicians, and 7,000 plus employees, with experts who practice in more than 75 specialties through South Jersey\u2019s only Level I Trauma Center, MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, Children\u2019s Regional Hospital at Cooper, Urgent Care centers, and more than 100 medical offices across the region. To Educate.<\/p>\n<p>The first weeks of November are particularly special, recognizing the value of several Cooper teams at once:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical-Surgical Nurses Week, November 1-7<\/li>\n<li>Patient Transport Week, November 3-9<\/li>\n<li>Radiologic Technology Week, November 3-9<\/li>\n<li>Medical Staff Services Week, November 4-10<\/li>\n<li>Allied Health Professionals Week, November 4-10<\/li>\n<li>National Nurse Practitioners Week, November 11-16<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Who\u2019s Who This Month in Health Care<\/h2>\n<p>You\u2019ll find medical-surgical nurses caring for our patients as they recover from surgery or while they\u2019re acutely ill. Our Kelemen teams provide wound care, dialysis, telemetry monitoring, and more. They also offer medical and nursing support to patients and their support team during times of illness, crisis, and distress.<\/p>\n<p>Our Patient Transport team compassionately fulfills the safe, timely, and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items to their destinations. This allows our care teams to provide treatment and other services efficiently.<\/p>\n<p>Radiation technology is an important part of your health, from diagnosis through treatment. Cooper teams that use radiation technology include radiation therapists, dosimetrists, nuclear medicine technicians, breast imaging specialists, and more. From provider credentialing and privileging to accreditation and regulatory compliance, this team stays ahead of state and federal requirements so that Cooper is always providing our patients and their families with the best care possible.<\/p>\n<p>Allied health professionals at Cooper can be found at every location, from Willingboro to Voorhees, Camden to Sewell, and more. Chances are you may know an allied health professional by a different name: Dietitians, medical technologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, radiographers, respiratory therapists, speech language pathologists, and more! They\u2019re an important part of the multidisciplinary approach to care that you\u2019ll find at Cooper.<\/p>\n<p>Cooper\u2019s nurse practitioners are found throughout our primary care and specialty care offices at Cooper. They are advanced practice providers who can diagnose and treat a variety of illnesses, as well as focusing on health promotion and disease prevention. Nurse practitioners and other advance practice providers work collaboratively with their physician colleagues and are valuable members of the health care team.
