On Wednesday, December 4, 2019, Cooper’s Community Health team<\/a> partnered with the American Heart Association (AHA) to educate patients at Cooper Internal Medicine & Specialty Care at JFK<\/a> offices in Willingboro, NJ.\u00a0 The purpose of the outreach event was to improve the health and wellness of the community by educating patients on the importance of heart health through the reduction of cardiovascular risk factors.\u00a0 At the event, patients received nutrition education and heart healthy lifestyle resources.<\/p>\n

The collaborative effort is part of an AHA grant to arm clinical sites with resources around improving patient outcomes in the areas of hypertension and cholesterol in the Willingboro community.
