As the state and region gradually begin to re-open, Cooper University Health Care continues to take steps to mitigate the risk of spreading COVID-19 by introducing a \u201ctouchless experience\u201d at its primary and specialty care offices.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile many things have changed in the past few months, our practice of putting our patients\u2019 health first has not changed and we are extending our use of technology to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 and other illnesses by providing a touchless health care experience for our patients,\u201d said Kevin O\u2019Dowd, JD, co-CEO of Cooper.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur message to patients is that we are putting your health first by adopting user-friendly technology to help to reduce unnecessary points of contact with others and offer a more streamlined service. As always, our outstanding staff are available to help patients every step of the way,\u201d said Anthony Mazzarelli, MD, JD, MBE, co-CEO of Cooper.<\/p>\n

The new touchless experience, currently available at most of Cooper\u2019s outpatient facilities for most appointment types, allows patients to complete necessary paperwork, check in, and pay any needed co-pays in advance through the myCooper mobile app<\/a> before entering a clinical office. At some locations, patients will also be able to \u201cannounce\u201d their arrival to the office through the app.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing able to complete my registration online prior to my appointment was easy,\u201d said Morgan Outler, a Cooper patient. \u201cI was able to do this on my own time and in the privacy of my home. It was also another piece of my visit that made me feel safe. I didn\u2019t have to touch a pen or a credit card machine, which I really appreciated \u2013 especially now during the pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are proud that our technology team was able to leverage our myCooper platform to design a new, practical digital experience with the safety of our patients and staff in mind,\u201d said Dustin Hufford, senior vice president and chief information officer at Cooper.<\/p>\n

In addition, Cooper has taken a number of steps to put\u00a0Your Health First<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>for all in-person visits at all of its offices and facilities, including:<\/p>\n
