UPDATED 4\/20\/21: The COVID-19 Vaccine Town Hall meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 5 p.m. at the Salvation Army\u2019s Kroc Center located in East Camden has been postponed.\u00a0 Watch for more information regarding a new date.<\/p>\n

In lieu of the in-person Town Hall event, the public is invited to watch a live-streamed COVID-19 Vaccine question and answer session at the originally scheduled date\/time with Cooper physician Camille A. Henry, MD on the Salvation Army Kroc Center Facebook page at https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/CamdenKroc<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As part of Cooper University Health Care\u2019s ongoing COVID-19 vaccine education initiative, Camden residents are invited to attend a free COVID-19 Vaccine Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 5 p.m. at the Salvation Army\u2019s Kroc Center located in East Camden<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Cooper opened the first-of-its-kind neighborhood Vaccination and Education Center at the Kroc Center<\/a>, which includes a strong education component to answer questions about the COVID-19 vaccine for city residents.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs one of the hardest hit communities in Camden County during the COVID-19 pandemic, our goal is to provide education and remove any barriers that might prevent Camden residents\u2019 from making informed decisions about getting the vaccine,\u201d said Kevin O\u2019Dowd, JD, co-CEO of Cooper.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe see our job as providing those we serve with trustworthy information so they can make an educated decision on whether to get the COVID-19 vaccine, and having physicians available to answer their questions face-to-face helps to build that trust,\u201d said Anthony J. Mazzarelli, MD, JD, MBE, co-CEO of Cooper.<\/p>\n

Presenters at the Town Hall include Cooper physicians Camille A. Henry, MD<\/a>, and Juan Utreras, MD<\/a>, and Evelyn Robles-Rodriguez, APN<\/a>, director of outreach, prevention and cancer survivorship at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.\u00a0 All three will provide education about COVID-19 vaccinations, dispel myths, and answer questions from the community.<\/p>\n

Attendees will also have the opportunity to sign-up for appointments for the COVID-19 vaccination at the Town Hall. The Kroc Center is located at 1865 Harrison Avenue in Camden.
