Training Program Helps Cooper Team Members Advance in Their Careers<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Nine Cooper University Health Care team members recently graduated from the health system\u2019s Critical Care Technician training program, a class to help entry-level team members advance in their health care careers while training for one of the fastest growing professions in the health care industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cCooper University Health Care is committed to supporting our team members through a variety of educational opportunities and we wanted to create a program that gives them a solid foundation both classroom theory and hands-on clinical components,\u201d said Jennifer Glendenning, assistant vice president of professional development at Cooper. \u201cCooper is always in need of highly skilled patient care techs, and this program not only offers team members and opportunity to enhance their skills and advance in their careers, but it also provides us Cooper with a pipeline of well-trained professionals.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cooper was recently named by Forbes as one of America\u2019s Best Employers by State, one of only thirty employers in New Jersey. The training program is sponsored in conjunction with Camden County College, which provides onsite instruction, and is funded by a grant from Impact Charity Services, a South Jersey non-profit organization dedicated to building strong communities through outreach and targeted educational and recreational programs. Classes are held on Cooper\u2019s campus for the convenience of team members who continue to work full time while attending the four-month training program.<\/p>\n

The first class graduated in early 2021, and those graduates are now working in new careers at Cooper. The new class of graduates will be able to apply for other open positions at Cooper.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of the greatest benefits of working at Cooper is that our team members can grow with us.\u00a0 They have the opportunity to learn and develop their career without having to leave the Cooper family to do so. From tuition reimbursement and the professional development benefit to various onsite training programs like the Critical Care Technician program, we are investing in both our team members\u2019 futures and Cooper\u2019s future,\u201d said Beth Green, senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Cooper.<\/p>\n
