On Sunday morning, November 7, 2021, more than 2,000 runners and walkers took to the historic Ben Franklin Bridge to participate in this year\u2019s Cooper Norcross Run the Bridge Event presented by AmeriHealth New Jersey<\/a>. The popular charity run has raised nearly $5 million for the Larc School<\/a> since its inception.<\/p>\n

This unique 10K run and two-mile bridge walk\u2014one of the most popular in the tristate area\u2014benefits the Larc School, located in Bellmawr, NJ, serving students with a wide range of moderate to severe disabilities. Proceeds from this event enables the Larc School to purchase items that truly help these children make great strides in learning how to speak, walk, and perform other daily activities. The event was held virtually in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy family has long supported Larc School and is proud to be part of this unique fundraising event,\u201d said George E. Norcross III, chairman of the board at Cooper. \u201cWe are delighted to be back together in person for this year\u2019s race, raising funds for a most worthy cause.\u201d<\/p>\n

“The pandemic has presented unique challenges to the community, and particularly to many of the families we serve. We are extremely excited to return to a live event,\u201d said Stephanie Riehl, executive director of Larc School. \u201cThrough the generous support of our sponsors and participants of the event, we are truly making a difference in the lives of our children with special needs and their families.”<\/p>\n

\u201cAmeriHealth New Jersey is proud to support this annual community event,\u201d said AmeriHealth New Jersey Market President Mike Munoz. \u201cWe commend the Larc School for the truly incredible work they do to help children of all ages with varying disabilities reach their highest potential.\u201d<\/p>\n
