More than 450 guests attended The Cooper Foundation\u2019s<\/a> annual Golf Outing and 13th<\/sup> annual Pink Roses Teal Magnolias celebration of cancer survivorship held recently at Ramblewood Country Club in Mount Laurel. This event, which included a merchant fair, a sold-out golf outing, and an awards dinner ceremony, provided inspiration while raising $500,000 for programs and services at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cPink and Teal is a truly inspirational event where we pay homage to both the courage of our patients and the dedication and service of our outstanding cancer professionals at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. We are grateful to the generous donors who support Pink and Teal every year, allowing us to provide a full spectrum of services from diagnosis to treatment to research in our quest to fight cancer,\u201d said Philip A. Norcross, Esq., chairman of The Cooper Foundation.<\/p>\n

\u201cYear after year, it is heartening to have the backing of so many individuals and the business community as they support Cooper and our mission on so many levels. It is thanks to this generosity that Cooper is able to provide the highest level of compassionate care and grow and serve the community now and in the future,\u201d said George E. Norcross III, chairman of the Cooper University Health Care Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year\u2019s Pink and Teal event was a huge success\u00a0thanks to the generosity of our donors, sponsors, and participants. It was a great day filled with inspiration and hope in the fight against cancer,\u201d said\u00a0Robert A. Ortiz, Jr., J.D.,\u00a0senior vice president and chief philanthropy officer of The Cooper Foundation.<\/p>\n

The 2023 Pink & Teal Hero honorees from MD Anderson at Cooper were: Kamel Abou Hussein, MD, Phyllis Duda, APN, Jacqueline Marzan, APN, and Rebecca Semanoff, APN. Each of the heroes were recognized for their compassionate and caring efforts in the fight against cancer.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are proud to honor these dedicated health care providers who give of their time and talents to ensure that each and every patient has the support and guidance they need throughout their cancer journey,\u201d said Generosa Grana, MD, director of MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper.<\/p>\n

Since its inception, the Pink and Teal event has raised nearly $8 million dollars to support research, the Patient-In-Need Fund, new technologies, the Survivorship Program, and other services at MD Anderson at Cooper.<\/p>\n
