Graceann Endicott<\/p><\/div>\n

(CAMDEN, NJ) \u2013 Graceann Endicott, director of Medical Education in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Cooper University Health Care, has received the prestigious Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education’s<\/a> (ACGME) Debra L. Dooley GME Program Coordinator Excellence Award.<\/p>\n

This year, Endicott was one of only five program coordinators in the nation to receive the Debra L. Dooley GME Program Coordinator Excellence Award<\/a>. According to the ACGME, the award is given to program coordinators in recognition of their in-depth understanding of the accreditation process, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and projects to improve graduate medical education programs.<\/p>\n

\u201cGrace is an essential member of our medical education team. She provides unprecedented support to our residents and fellows, assisting them to become successful physicians of the future,\u201d said Michael E. Chansky, MD, FACEP, FAAEM, chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Cooper University Health Care and professor of Emergency Medicine at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. \u201cGrace is the best at what she does. Our entire team feels that Grace is well-deserving of this recognition, and we are proud to have her represent Cooper.\u201d<\/p>\n

Endicott joined Cooper in February 1983 and is the founding coordinator of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program, which was approved in March 1995. She is recognized at Cooper, locally, and nationally for her expertise in GME and development of innovative collaborative educational tools.<\/p>\n

Endicott, along with other ACGME recipients, will be presented the award in March at the 2024 ACGME Annual Educational Conference in Orlando, Florida.<\/p>\n

Cooper University Health Care and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) offer 22 residency and 31 fellowship training programs, with 71 program leaders and 466 trainees. The Emergency Medicine Residency<\/a> is a three-year program that teaches physicians the basic skills and essential knowledge necessary to build a strong foundation in emergency medicine. Cooper\u2019s Emergency Medical Services Fellowship<\/a> is a one-year, ACGME-accredited training program that prepares physicians for the practice of\u00a0emergency medical services (EMS)<\/a>, a clinical specialty that includes the care of patients in all environments outside of traditional medical care facilities such as clinics, offices, and hospitals.<\/p>\n
